Howard Park

We took the girls to the beach Saturday
to take some (more) pictures.
They loved it!  Well, not really.
They are over it.
These still were cute though.

Me and My Girls

So!  I was playing around yesterday with my new
tripod and remote and got this picture of me with my girls...
However I was without my favorite lens so it isn't as
sharp as it could have been...I will be
retaking it once I get my replacement!
Until then, I still love it...

I also like this one...

Letters to Our Daughters

This year, I joined a blog circle. Each month I will write a letter to one of my girls and post it, along with a link to another wonderful mother's letter.  To be fair, I decided to start with the oldest and go through them by age...Now I am not a writer, nor do I claim to be.  So no judgement :)

Dear Laynie,
I'm not quite sure how to start this...so bear with me.  I can tell you that you are smart, talented, great at everything you try and beautiful.  But you already know all of that (and I just told you again..see, I'm not a writer!)
After we got married, Mommy and Daddy decided we wanted to start a family almost right away.  We just could not wait to be parents.  It took longer than we expected, which was frustrating, but in the end I was glad-because we got you.  You were born 2 weeks early on December 7, 2002.  You were so cute and cuddly and I was instantly in love.
Over the years you showed what a smart kid you were...and so independent.  Everyone always commented on it-from the time you could walk.  As time has gone on, you have made my heart grow more every single day.  I can't believe that you are 10 years old.  I always told you that you weren't allowed to turn 10 that you had to stop at 9.  I wish I could control that...but you are really such a great girl. You always try your best at everything that you do, and that is such a great quality to have.   You do great in school, you never ever give up on the soccer field (which everyone knows does NOT come from me), and you are a loving big sister.  You are a talented artist, writer, runner, bike rider, and of course soccer player.  The only thing I want to change is that I want to spend more time with just you.  I know we don't get enough of that.  Hopefully in my next letter to you I'll be able to share that we did.

Please know as you grow up that you can always talk to me about anything and everything.  I am and will always be here for you.  You are my first baby and I love you bunches.
Love you,
Mommy

Please continue on to Heather Nordell's blog to see her
post to her little one...

Dinner

Today was a busy day.  It ended with
noodles for dinner in PJs in front of the TV while Laynie was at soccer.
Happy girls.

Work Day

I worked today, so no good pictures.
This was my view on the way in this morning:

Not very exciting.
At the end of my day I got this picture of
Peyton riding her bike:

It made me smile.

Busch Gardens

For Christmas we got us all passes to
Busch Gardens.  Sadly, we haven't ever been there before.
Yes, I know it's only 40 minutes away.
Yes, I know it's a lot cheaper than Disney.
Yes, we have no excuse.
We had so much fun!!  I haven't
been on roller coasters like that in forever.
I just need Laynie to grow two more inches so we
can go on all of them.

Not many pictures from the day, but
I (of course) have to have a couple at least :)
and yes, I was too cheap to buy the Cheetah Hunt
embarrassing photo and took a picture of the screen.

Soccer Saturday

Another Saturday...another soccer day :)
The girls both won.  Riley's team won 8-1 and Laynie's team
fought hard and won 2-1.  Both girls played well and I'm so proud!!

Day 11?

Not sure what post this is, but I'm going with 11 :)
Today I again tortured my children with
photos.  I'm not ready to share those yet.  But
I do know I need to find new victims models.
My girls are flat out over it.
After the torture session we met my parents for dinner.
It was good.

I'm sure I'll get crap for putting their picture on here.
They can get over it.
It could be worse.  One of them could be making
a funny face.

:)  I'm glad my parents (and Keith's parents) live close
and we get to see them often.  Not sure they
will be happy after seeing this though.
Next up:  need to get photos of Keith's parents.

Bedtime

Someone is ready for bed!

Oops, again

For lack of a better excuse the day got away
from me yesterday.  Hopefully first thing in the morning makes
up for it!!

The girls are back in school after a long winter break.
I think they are happy to be back in a routine.
I was supposed to work yesterday, but was cancelled.
Which meant I got to edit pictures all day (dream day).

Here are a few.  Although most of you are on Facebook so
have already seen them.  Apologies.

Boo on me

So working my 12 hour shift today meant I left
the house at 5:45 and didn't get home til 7:45.  No time for good
pictures.  I did get this one-the leftovers of a puppet show Peyton was putting on
for Grandma when I got home.

Goodnight all.

Monday Morning Torture

So today I took the girls to
Phillipe Park in Safety Harbor to
torture take pictures of them.
It was chilly and overcast, but we made
the most of it!
I only got to go through a couple so far, I have to
be up for work tomorrow, or else I'd easily stay up all night editing!

Here are two of my sweethearts.

I will be torturing everyone with the rest soon.

Happy Monday!
